Under David White Construction, we bring together industry knowledge and our specialist trades to supply sub-contracted construction, masonry and joinery services to major employers such as Eric Wright, Wilmott Dixon and Galliford Try, as well as taking a lead contractor role on our own projects.

Having progressed through site, projects and contracts management, David felt that he was losing touch with the hands-on aspects of the construction industry that he loved. He was managing projects from a boardroom which just wasn’t his style.
Having left Eric Wright, and following his successful management of a unique groundworks scheme at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, David launched David White Construction in 2009; a contractor with the breadth of skills and expertise to tackle projects of any size, from masonry and joinery sub-contract packages delivered for major employer contractors, to taking the lead on sites as principal contractor across many sectors.
From there, the only way was up; in 2010, we secured a high-profile contract to redesign and rebuild parts of several Booths Supermarkets stores in the Preston area, involving the stunning redevelopment of existing premises.

As the business has grown, so have the sizes of the projects we handle. However, we always remember our roots and the key skills of bricklaying, masonry and joinery are central to our continued success.
We know and trust all of our tradesmen
Our joiners and bricklayers have worked with us for a long time and teams are hand-selected according to the needs of each job and client.
It’s important to us to look after our tradesmen; they represent David White Construction on site and we want to supply the best tradesmen on the market. New team members work alongside more experienced tradesmen so that they can understand how we work and how we deliver a project, and all of our tradesmen have the help and support of our experienced supervisors and management team.

All tradesmen joining David White Construction don’t necessarily need to have qualifications to be the right candidate for a position within our company. We look at experience, all-round ability, attitude and personality to make sure that they will fit in with our existing team members.
We view apprenticeships favourably and all team members need a CSCS card as a minimum. Further training will be provided if necessary.

Important Health and Safety notice
Health and Safety is of paramount importance to our business. We know it’s fundamental in any working environment, and especially ours.
Work undertaken by David White Construction is supervised throughout by our Health and Safety officer who carries out regular site inspections and visits to ensure our high safety standards are implemented and maintained throughout a project. All tradesmen supplied by David White Construction carry CSCS cards, and our business is a member of CHAS, Constructionline, SMAS and Builders Profile.
All tradesmen joining David White Construction don’t necessarily need to have qualifications to be the right candidate for a position within our company. We look at experience, all-round ability, attitude and personality to make sure that they will fit in with our existing team members.
Our Safety officer performs a number of checks, such as the regular performance of RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements), and submits regular reports.
We then assess their requirements and provide all the appropriate training.
